On 8 December 2015 the Governorship of Çankırı published a separate report summarising Canan Karatay’s rock-salt statements on a Show TV programme hosted by Zahide Yetiş. The record is useful because it documents her television comments outside the conference setting.
More information on this topic is available in the Canan Karatay section.
Historical Use of Rock Salt
Karatay emphasised that rock salt had been used for centuries and was not a newly introduced product.
She also referred to her visit to the Çankırı Salt Cave and commented on its historical background and preserved animal remains.
Her View on Mineral Diversity
The programme record repeats Karatay’s earlier statement that rock salt contains a large number of minerals.
Because the same theme appears in the 2015 Çankırı conference and the 2016 Anadolu Agency interview, it forms a central part of her public rock-salt narrative.
Statements About Salt Caves
Karatay referred to rock-salt caves in Poland, New York, Azerbaijan and Central Asia and mentioned their use in connection with respiratory complaints.
This page records those statements as her televised views.
Statements About Salt Lamps
Karatay also discussed electronic devices, ions and salt lamps and recommended the use of salt lamps in homes.
These claims are preserved as part of the sourced archive of her public statements.
