Prof. Yangfeng Wu is Professor of Epidemiology at Peking University School of Public Health and a long-standing researcher in cardiovascular-disease prevention in China.

He later helped develop chronic-disease research networks and clinical-research infrastructure in China.
Salt-Substitution Studies

He later became a co-principal investigator in the much larger SSaSS program.

The 2021 NEJM SSaSS paper lists Wu among its leading authors.
In 2025 he also co-authored a JACC perspective with Bruce Neal, Jaime Miranda and Darwin Labarthe on salt substitution for hypertension and cardiovascular prevention.
